Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake delivered a memorable live performance of his fourth studio album M$NEY at London’s historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane, turning the West End venue into an intimate celebration of music, gratitude and Nigerian culture.
The special “One Night Only” concert took place on June 21, 2026, in partnership with Spotify. The invitation-only event brought together Asake’s friends, family and selected top Spotify listeners for the first live performance of M$NEY following the album’s release in May.
The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, one of London’s most historic performance venues, has a reported capacity of 2,196 seats, making the intimate nature of the exclusive event particularly significant.
A Different Side of Asake
Rather than presenting the energetic arena-style show fans have become accustomed to, Asake used the London performance to explore the deeper musical and spiritual themes behind M$NEY.
He was backed by a large live ensemble, including an orchestra of more than 40 musicians and a 40-member choir. The arrangement gave songs from the album a richer, more theatrical sound while allowing Asake's vocals and Yoruba-inspired storytelling to remain at the centre of the performance.
The performance also represented a major moment in Asake's evolution as an artist. M$NEY explores themes of gratitude, prosperity, spirituality and ambition, and the live production translated those ideas into a more dramatic and immersive concert experience.

Special Guests Join Asake
The performance also featured appearances from notable international collaborators.
French artist DJ Snake joined Asake on “WORSHIP,” bringing their collaborative record to life on stage. French-Malian singer Tiakola also appeared for “BADMAN GANGSTA,” while South African Amapiano heavyweight Kabza De Small joined Asake for “Asambe.”
The guest appearances reinforced the international character of Asake's music, bringing together Afrobeats, Amapiano and other global sounds within the same performance.
Four Unreleased Songs Get Their First Live Preview
One of the biggest surprises of the night came when Asake performed four previously unreleased songs.
The tracks gave the selected audience an early glimpse into the direction of his upcoming music, with Spotify describing the performance as an opportunity for fans to hear new material before its wider release.
For an artist whose catalogue continues to expand beyond Nigeria, the decision to introduce unreleased material in such an intimate setting added another layer of exclusivity to the event.
From M$NEY to the World
The London performance came at an important point in Asake's international career.
M$NEY has continued to strengthen his position as one of Afrobeats' leading global acts, with the album topping streaming charts in more than 19 countries, including Nigeria, and reaching No. 8 on the US albums chart.
The concert also arrived ahead of Asake's wider international touring activity, giving fans a more theatrical introduction to the album before its songs moved further into the global live circuit.
Spotify subsequently released the full performance as Asake – M$NEY Live in London (Spotify Live), an 18-track live project running for approximately 47 minutes.
The concert film was also released exclusively on Spotify, marking the platform's first full-length live concert film.
Asake's Theatre Royal Drury Lane performance ultimately became more than an album showcase. It was a carefully staged celebration of his journey, his faith, his sound and his growing international audience — presenting M$NEY not simply as a collection of songs, but as a live musical experience.
