Clean Bandit teams up with American singer Chlöe and Nigerian singer OMAH LAY on “Company,” a cross-genre collaboration about desire, loneliness and the need for human connection.
The song brings together Clean Bandit’s electronic and pop sound with Chlöe’s R&B vocals and OMAH LAY’s Afro-fusion style. It was released on September 18, 2026, as the first preview of Clean Bandit’s upcoming studio album, expected in 2027 through their independent label, CB X.
About the Song
“Company” centres on a simple idea: sometimes what a person wants most is not a material gift, but the presence of someone they care about.
The song explores the desire to have someone close and the uncertainty that can come with an inconsistent relationship. Chlöe delivers the R&B side of the record, while OMAH LAY brings a more relaxed Afro-fusion vocal style. Clean Bandit provide the musical foundation that connects the different performances.
Production
The production combines electronic pop elements with dance-oriented drums, melodic arrangements and vocal layers. Clean Bandit retain the electronic character that has been central to their music while leaving space for Chlöe and OMAH LAY to bring their own styles to the record.
The result sits primarily in the pop space, with R&B and Afro-fusion elements coming through the performances and arrangement.
Collaboration
“Company” brings together artists from three different musical backgrounds. Clean Bandit provide the electronic-pop foundation, Chlöe contributes her pop-R&B approach, and OMAH LAY adds his Nigerian Afro-fusion sound.
The collaboration also continues Clean Bandit’s recent work with artists from different musical scenes as the group develops its next album cycle.
