Mr P turns to gratitude and faith on “Chukwu Mme,” a reflective single that looks back on difficult moments, hard work and the progress that has followed.
About the Song
“Chukwu Mme” is an expression of thanksgiving. Sung partly in Igbo and English, Mr P reflects on the challenges he has faced and gives credit to God for helping him through them.
The song carries a simple message: after going through difficult seasons and continuing to work, there is a reason to look back and be grateful for how far things have come.
Production
The song combines contemporary Afropop with elements of Highlife. Its mid-tempo rhythm, keyboard chords, percussion and vocal arrangement give it a relaxed but celebratory feel, while the message remains at the centre of the record.
The use of Igbo also gives the song a strong cultural character, particularly in the way Mr P expresses gratitude and faith.
Release Context
“Chukwu Mme” was released on October 1, 2026 through P. Classic Records / MAD Solutions LLC. It is part of the rollout for Mr P’s forthcoming album, OG Forever.
The release follows Mr P’s earlier 2026 music and presents a more reflective side of his current solo direction.
