FOLA – it’s over ft. Bella Shmurda & Zlatan
FOLA teams up with Bella Shmurda and Zlatan on “it’s over,” a collaborative record built around the feeling of moving beyond difficult moments and taking control of what comes next.
The song carries a reflective message, but it does not stay entirely in a sad space. FOLA approaches the record with a melodic delivery, while Bella Shmurda and Zlatan add their own perspectives and energy to the track.
About the Song
“it’s over” presents a message of closure and moving forward. The song looks at the point where past struggles, setbacks and negative situations no longer have the same hold.
FOLA leads the record with a more melodic approach, while Bella Shmurda and Zlatan bring contrasting vocal styles to the collaboration. Their different deliveries give the song movement without taking it away from its central message.
Production
The production was handled by Shallythechampion and Sbthaproducer. The record uses a rhythmic African-pop foundation with melodic elements and percussion supporting the three vocal performances. Its arrangement leaves room for FOLA's melodic sections as well as the more direct deliveries from Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.
The production places the song in the contemporary Afropop space, while drawing from the broader Afrobeats and street-pop sound common to the three artists.
Collaboration
The collaboration brings together three artists with different approaches to Nigerian popular music. FOLA provides the melodic centre of the record, Bella Shmurda brings his street-pop character, and Zlatan adds his energetic delivery.
The song is also part of FOLA's forthcoming 14-track album, 9, released ahead of the project's scheduled October 2026 release.
“it’s over” was released on September 10, 2026 under Dangbana Republik Records / EMPIRE.
